N Power - Poor Customer Services - "Bill Blocks" - unable to set up DD

Hi there,
I have had endless problems with N Power since Nov 2014 ever since setting up a dual fuel account. N Power have been unable to issue a correct bill for both gas and electric usage and after numerous calls, emails and tweets, I am now being met with a stonecold silence.
N Power cannot seem to set up a DD on my dual fuel account and the last conversation with the advisor ( prior to cutting me off for the upteenth time), i was advised there was a "bill block" on my account.
I have spent countless hours setting up DD and payment plans with N Power all to no avail over the phone.
As we are now approaching a year into the issue, I can understand there being complex issues with suppliers, MPR etc etc but the stone cold silence and endless cutting off during calls is worrying - except for the quarterly bailiff letters which they tell me to ignore as they are automatically sent out !
Has anyone had any experience of there accounts being on "bill block" from N Power and if so, was there any improvement in their customer service during the process ?
TIA, TC

Bill Block is a new player in the chaos of the energy supply industry, and it would probably be helpful if he would register with MSE forums so that he can answer for himself.
Have you paid any money to Bill since November 2014?mad mocs - the pavement worrier0 -
Hi thanks for the response, and yes totally agree!!!
No I have not paid anything since Nov 2014 as yet.....0 -
nPower have various "system problems". I imagine bill blocking is a remedial thing designed to prevent nonsense bills being sent out whilst an account is messed up.
I did have an nPower supervisor do some supervisor-only magic on my account a while back, and that seemed to sort out the problems.0 -

You are approaching the point where the 12-month back billing limit will come into play - so long as you can show that you have been playing your part in helping Npower to work out how much you owe them, then they will not be allowed to bill you for any energy which you used more than 12 months previously.mad mocs - the pavement worrier0 -

Hi, Thanks for the info, I was not aware of such a ruling. I have kept records of all emails sent to the various npower depts.....
Will see how this one pans out.......0
