Best programme for saving pictures off the iPhone?

Hi guys,

I have an iPhone with around 7000 photos on it.

What is the best way to get them onto my iMac? And what programme do you recommend I use to store / manage the photos? I would like to move them into separate folders.

Thanks

  • I'm not sure you need an actual program.

I would imagine you can just plug it in and Drag and Drop.

Alternatively, get a Micro SD card with a full size SD adapter, copy the images onto the Micro SD card, install the Micro SD card into the Imac, using the adapter, and drag and drop.

Not sure about a program to store / manage the photos.

    To import; image capture

    To sort; iPhoto

Both built into the iMac (check app store to make sure you have the latest iPhoto version before starting, now called "photos" i believe)

Alternatively look into iCloud Photo Libary to save them all to iCloud directly from the iPhone and reduce the risk of total loss if you loose the iPhone.
