No sound from Sony TV KDL-32W706B

When I first switch on the above new TV, there is no sound but excellent picture.
If I turn it off and back on again a few times it eventually works.
It is not connected to any speakers or sound system, but it is connected to a Sky HD box.
Please can anybody help?

Unplug the box .
Factory reset the TV and set it up then check sound .
Fails then return to vendor as faulty .0
