Superantispyware - help & advice please

Options
I downloaded SAS today and ran a scan with the following results and promptly deleted the files in that it found. My pc is now throwing a bit of a wobbly and I naively wondered if it was because I removed something that I shouldn't have. Any advice, or assurance, would be gratefully received please.

The files SAS has removed are all things you don't want.

Thanks - it intially threw the wobbly when I closed down and restarted the pc a couple of times to clear a problem with it connecting to the internet. In the end I unplugged both the phone line to the router and everything and left it for an hour and so far it is okay.
I must say that I have noticed a remarkable difference in the speed of the pc since using SAS and Ccleaner, but will have to take care of what buttons I click on!

Thanks Browntoa. I am going to leave it for a while now as you will see above, I am up & running with currently no problems.

FYI I am running IE6 on XP home and my ISP is BT. I was using NAV that came with the pc in jan 2004 and foolishly? updated it annually at approx £35 a go which I thought was a little stupid as it did not offer anything more than just the regular virus updates.

As I was already with BT I upgraded to the level where NAV was offered 'free' and this has so far been okay. The problem, I think, is that I have all those BT internet programmes (BT Yahoo Help, BT Yahoo protection, BT Yahoo Mail etc) running on this PC when in reality I don't need any or all of them. As there say 'a little knowledge is a dangerous thing' and I am being too clever.

Reading through these threads I am tempted to go down the line already recommeded by MSE, and perhaps yourself?, and ditch NAV and go for AVG or something similar. Only thing is why do people spend literally millions on the likes of NAV and McAfee when there is all this free software about and how does that work; how do these small software companies get their security information from and how do they survive in the shadow of these big companies?
