fair price for plastering room

Options
Hi

We are getting our box room plastered. Its a pretty small room (you can fit a single bed in it and a chest of drawers and thats about it)

The walls are in a right old state, they are crumbling but the ceiling is fine. So the walls need scraping off and treating...the full works really.

We had a quote to get it re-plastered and we've been quoted £260 which includes a days work and materials. The plasterer said if he brings a helper it'll be £320.

Is that a fair price? we are based in greater London.

Thanks

  • Hard to say without exact size but general rule of thumb on a day rate plasterer do two hits a day anything from £125 - £200 pmd plus £60 - £100 for a boy if there on a price skim ceilings and wall not bad price smaller walls can often mean more fiddling around so actual meterage achieved is less,
