  • Very strange this. I go past this site fairly regularly and I noticed the change of operator to PE and the ANPR cameras. It must be to be to input the VRN and can't see how they could operate otherwise.

  • are the wardens walking around with fancy PDAs that alert them of the times , or as you and me believe it is an ANPR site (photo in/photo out , and the OP has misheard/read his parents description of the NTK?

MK 3 ANPR , no photo going in , buy ticket (ticket time logged to there server) photo taken on way out , and time on ticket deducted from leaving time?

why buy a ticket then (grace time) just go in , no ticket and drive out

I think the OP needs to scan PEs letter with a singular photo

Just spoken to my parents and there were two photo's on the original form.

Also found out that the latest demand letter (for £100) was actually dated 30th August! So it appears they sent it out 14 days after the 'offence' was committed!

please confirm the dates VERY carefully , was the letter to your parents received in 14 days or less ?

I your original post , you state date of offence as 15th August , you now confirm two photos as in ANPR cameras (good) but state that the date on the letter is the 30th August (sunday?) , and possibly not received by then till the until the 1st or second of September?

    please confirm

if those dates are correct , and it states offence date , and date of letter on it they have made a major cockup and things change,

just a quick question , the car ? is it registered (thier car) at there home address or was it a lease/hire/rental car ?

when the ANPR system was accepted by the government as part of thev POFa 2012 , is was set that a camera would record the entry , and the exit times and work the difference out , companies like PE have added the "typing in of reg No" as an "extra"

as they have failed to produce photographic evidence of the entry/exit times , they have not met the requirements of POFa 2012 , and as such cannot chase the owner , only the driver.

anyone else want to add to this?
Freddy your enthusiasm is admirable but you do post some misleading nonsense. This is all balderdash. POFA 2012 says nothing at all about ANPR or photography. POFA 2012 is only about the steps that must gone through in order to hold the vehicle keeper liable for unpaid parking charges incurred by the driver. It matters not a jot how the PPC collects evidence in an attempt to prove that the driver owes them money. There is provision in the Act for regulations to be implemented to specify how evidence is collected & presented including specifying what equipment is used but nothing has been implemented.
