Question about Renault Financial Services (RFS)

Hi Everyone
Does anyone have any words of wisdom about RFS (Renault Financial Services)? I had a 3 year car loan with Renault back in 1998 and I don't have any paperwork. I wrote to RFS and it transpires that RFS ceased trading in July 2007 and have had a reply from RCI Financial Services which is not very helpful.
I don't recall any PPI on this agreement and my memory may not be correct as it is so long ago. I have checked my old bank statements and can see the loan repayments leaving my account (36 repayments). I can't see a standing order for a separate PPI policy.
Does anyone know if RCS included any PPI repayments in the loan amount? or whether these were on a separate standing order?

It doesnt really matter if you had it or not. You have no-one to complain to.
It is pre-regulation (car dealers were not regulated prior to Jan 05) and the company is no longer trading (so you dont have access to the FSCS. The FOS cant take on complaints for firms that are no longer trading.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
