  • I won £1,000 of vouchers through a radio competition on the 20th of July and still haven't received them - I waited a month to start chasing and was told they would be with me the following week, still nothing.

I also won a pair of tickets to a show that has now closed! I emailed them a week before the show finished as I hadn't heard anything and they just ignored me. I am not entirely sure what to do about that one!
    Prizes:
    2013 - £3,500; 2014 - £8,200; 2015 - £9,300; 2016 - £6,500; 2017 - £9,500; 2018 - £1,600; 2019 - £2,100; 2020 - £2360!
Thanks for everyone's help getting these xx

Depends on the medium in which i won. I seem to have more trouble with Twitter wins turning up nowadays than anything else!

But the general rule for me is after 2 weeks i message them then message them once a week after that. Generally after a month has passed (about the 5/6 week mark after notification) i will e-mail the ASA and inform the promoter that i have done so, then magically the prize turns up ;)

Id contact the ASA about that one, thats far too much to write off!
  • I've sent the 4 week polite chaser just this morning for one, we'll see what happens now, no response yet and it went first thing.
  • Thanks for the advice - I will give it to Friday then take it further if needed.

It was a back to school competition too, maybe they meant for next year!

  • i won a guitar (from a link posted by Painkiller) on the 10th of July.

    It's just turned up today

I basically followed the same advice already given - waited 28 days, then chased roughly every 10 days. The guy that i won the competition from wasn't in charge of sending it out and had to keep chasing it on my behalf.

Totally worth it because it's really nice. Always be nice and polite though, especially if like this situation it's not the competition organiser's fault for the delay!

Definitely worth chasing it up. I've been waiting 8 weeks since I was told I'd won. Started chasing them after the 28 days, but was seemingly talking to no one. PR company finally got in touch but then I didn't hear anything more for 2 weeks. I sent them an email yesterday and they replied saying it'd be with me by 1pm today. Got it early this morning. Don't think I would have if I hadn't given them a nudge. Don't give up!

I won a prize in April that I had to keep chasing up. After 6 weeks I was emailing every 2 weeks, and all I got was 'we'll chase it up' and then I wasn't hearing anything.
It's only because I posted a message on their Facebook wall last month that I was given a phone number to ring. I called it on the Tuesday, and my prize turned up on the Thursday. It's amazing how fast one Facebook post got things sorted.
Having said that, I'm still waiting for a mystery prize that I won in June on Twitter. Apparently 'it's on it's way'. That was 2 weeks ago as well, and I've yet to hear or receive anything. I'll have to message them again.
    Be Lucky.
