I was just perusing the Talk Talk site and i noticed they mislead people when comparing competitors prices, because they dont compare like for like as they compare their Evening and Weekend Call Broadband Package against Tiscali,s 24/7 Unlimited Call Broadband package.See:

  • Tiscali do not offer an evening and weekend call package from looking at there website. It has been compared to the closest match which would be the up to 8mbit broadband and anytime calls from tiscali for 19.99 the 14.99 package that tiscali offer is 2mbit BB and free weekend calls only.

So Talk Talk should not be using it as a like for like comparism then, and are misleading people. Not that it surprises me given their track record in creative marketing.

They're not misleading people. On the TT comparison page their UK call mention is annotated with "1". Clicking on the "1" will bring up a new window explaining the terms.

I beg to differ they are misleading people, because they dont make it clear they are not comparing like for like(which they do with the other comparisms),and give the impression a similar product to theirs is a lot dearer, when its not similar.

They do of course offer a 24/7 call package with broadband themselves but choose not to compare them i guess because it would not look so good.:D
