Noisy neighbours

Hi All,
I live in an end of terrace house. Until recently things where nice. Now my neighbours have errected a dart board in one of their bedrooms. The wall this is on is the joining wall of the house. They play darts from 4 feet away well past 11 at night. I have spoken to them politely and was just ignored. If anything the attempt made them more determined. I cannot think of anything i might have done to upset or offend them to cause them to start doing this. Every dart thuds through my house.

Failing dialogue directly , you need to contact the Environmental Health team at your local council

Get up at 4:30am and start bouncing a tennis ball on the same wall for an hour or so.
These people don't understand anything else.0 -

depends on your humour. I would personally line up my stereo speakers next to the wall and then play sound clips of Bullseye theme music and "180" everytime it starts.0

Hi Folks.
Talking to them wont do anything. I have tried but they dont seem to have the IQ to comprehend.
I would love to get them back at their own game but they dont need to get up for anything so it wouldnt really inconvinience them.
I will keep the environmental health in mind incase things get worse.
Cheers

Tom, are you living in a leasehold property? Is the adjoining flat a leasehold property? By law, occupants may not cause nuisance to others between the hours of 23h00 - 07h00. You should approach the freeholder to enforce this. You should also check what restrictive covenants the lease of the other flat contains (you can purchase a copy of their lease from the land registry for about £7, I think). My lease, for example, states that between the hours of 23h00 and 08h00 I must ensure that noise is made in any part of the building which might cause disturbance or annoyance to any other occupier. I hope this helps you.0
