Kwick fit Insurance

Hi, wonder if someone can give me some advice.
I have just found out that kwick-fit insurance and renewed my car insurance without notification.
I have not received any documentation at all from them including any renewal quote. To top it off even without making a claim it looks like by the amount they have taken out they have doubled the amount my insurance.
As we have not received any documentation are they able to renew my policy without contacting me including not sending a quote?

Did you not wonder where your renewal quote was? Did you already have insurance in place when the KF one expired?
I was with them for one year, when they first offered insurance i think, the following year they wanted double so i went elsewhere. Never used then again.
If you had insurance in place then you may get a refund, if you didnt they they have prevented you from being uninsured.
