New Account - proof of address?

Hi all
I've been away from this site for a while but I'm looking for some advice after I switched my account to Nationwide (Flex) account today. I need to produce my ID in branch, but I don't have anything on their list!
They want a bill (not bank statement) but all the bills are in my hubby's name...
I really want to switch accounts as my current bank are a bit pants and backwards to say the least. I've had Nationwide recommended to me and the paid-for account is better than my current deal, 7 day switching makes it seem all-too-easy!
I have drivers licence, passport, birth cert, marriage cert, payslip (with address), NI card, bank statements and (in hubby's name) mortgage statement and any number of bills they want to see.
I suppose my question is, will this be accepted? It's too late to contact them now
but can anyone share their experiences?
Thanks for reading
LMD x

I applied for FD account yesterday & was accepted.. Instantly they sent email 10 mins later & said i need to go to branch with ID....
Some one said on my forum postI opened a FD account 3 days ago and was told instantly I had been approved... then I got an email about 10 mins later like yours, saying they require ID to set the account up. Then yesterday I got an email saying the account was up and running (I hadn't taken them ID). Bit strange... just wait a couple of days and see if the same happens to you.
I would wait 2/3 days or until your letter come in post then go from there0 -

If the household bills they request are in the name of a spouse or parents, then I can't see why they would refuse them if accompanied by a marriage certificate or a full birth certificate listing said parent(s.)
Doesn't help when the bills are in a partner's name though.0 -
Just an update, I've just got back from Nationwide and they accept an in-date British passport as photo ID and address...
All sorted

Are you sure?
A passport is not proof of your address.
Did you also show them your recent letter from HMRC? That would be acceptable proof of address.0
