Switching to Npower

Anybody experienced the nightmare I am experiencing with Npower. I tried to switch gas and electric to Npower from SSE in April. To date they have only managed the electirc supply. I was not aware that the switch hadn't happened and when I checked with SSE they said they had not received a request for the gas switch. On my behalf SSE managed to contact Npower who stated that because our gas pipeline is not owned by British Gas but an independent company they had to make an application to the pipeline supplier but they messed up the application and it was refused. They didn't notice this and never contacted me about. I finally raised the issue with executive complaints at Npower who promised to re-apply and still waiting. I have even written to the CEO who has not even acknowledge my letter.
Any ideas on how to get this moving and has anyone had the same issue

I have now found out that Npower or my IGT (GTC) are having problems with their software. They both don't know where the problem is, my IGT said they are only having the problem with Npower. Npower have now cancelled my Gas contract, I will now go with ZOG. I did transfer it took about 3 weeks and so far so good.
ps they are also cheaper.0 -
All I can say is why on earth are you switching to Npower?!? They have to be the worst organisation for anything I have ever dealt with! I'm still waiting for a response to a complaint I submitted over a year ago because their bill was incorrect. When I first joined I had to call Eon to explain the Npower tarriff because no one at Npower knew what it was!0
