artifical grass quote?

i have been quoted £1100 to have this laid , its about 30sq metres for 32ml grass
is this about right price ?

I think it sounds reasonable and as long as you are happy with the work done then all is good, I would also say that it could be done cheaper plus more expensive but boils down to quality of turf and finish made after being laid.

turf itself is about 16.00 sq m

It sounds cheap but it depends where in the country you are. In and around London you will pay £40-£50 per sqm.

I recently laid this myself, if you are half competent (and of healthy) it is very straight forward to do.

Few tonne bag of scalpings, levelled and compacted (hired a compactor for £25 a day) then 45 mm ish of sand, again compacted, then literally roll the grass out (pile facing towards the house)

Joins are easily secured with joining tape and a green glue that can be bought cheaply on line.

My total cost including grass came to around £600. I purchased my grass off ebay via a wholesale retailer.

I appreciate it is not everyones cup of tea to do, but for £1,100 worth a bit of research.
