Mother & Daughter - where do we go?

Please does anyone have any suggestions as to where my daughter and I can go next year for a weeks getaway. All we want to do is 'chill out' somewhere quite, safe with a beach and a decent hotel/apartment. My daughter is 23 and I am slightly older. We both have stressful jobs hence the 'chill out'. Ideally only a short flight about 2 -3 hours.
Grateful for any advice as I am fed up looking ib brochures and reading reports on Trip Advisor.

    I love Slovenia.
    Although I went on a walking holiday one or two of the hotels had great Spa's too.

    It's a 6 hour flight but I took my daughter to Dubai - we sunbathed, shopped and chilled! Going back in Feb 2008!!

    How about Sharm-el-Sheiikh. 4 hour flight but lovely country. Beach if you want it. Culture if you want it. And McDonalds if you want it.
