Cleaning stone memorials - help please!

Options
I need some help please folks!

I visited the cemetary today and was really upset at how dirty my mum and dads marble memorial has got. Can anyone advise me on the best way to clean it?

I have cleaned it before but you need to be so careful so as not to rub the lettering off!
My second favorite household chore is ironing. My first being, hitting my head on the top bunk bed until I faint.

    Hi louidog,

I clean my mum's headstone with a dishcloth and washing up liquid and warm water that I bring in a flask and it usually does a good job. It does need rinsed well or it can leave streaks.

There are more suggestions on this older thread:

    cleaner headstone???

I'll merge your thread with that one later to keep all the ideas together.
