Goodbye Powerseller tag
TDIfurby
Nice while it lasted. I sold a £1600 car for work on ebay, and I think it affected my figures to such a degree that they made me a powerseller.... Not that I come close really to meeting their requirements (only a real part time thing for me - I have a "proper" job full time
)
So, despite a few warnings I wasn't up to it, the tag has remained for the bext part of 4 or 5 months, which has probably seriously helped me along with setting bidder confidence at a high level. C'est la vie. Its gone now.
Just have to hope 251 100% feedback points does the trick now.

Money saving:
Buy a Skoda. Laugh at the VWs who paid several grand more
Its a diesel. 50mpg - laugh at all the petrols
Its a tuned 260bhp diesel - laugh at them in the rearview mirror as they vanish

That's a shame TRiFurby. Unfortunately the feedback alone won't get you power seller status. With over 1100 positive (100%) feedback on my main ID I have never been a power seller as I only sell smaller items and never reach the quarterly targets.

blimey, i thought every man and his dog could become a powerseller.. at least the fools made me one and I'm an ebay everyman and I've got a dog.
From the site, once you've achieved your powerseller status you only need to sell 4 items per quarter with a gross value of £750 - and ofcourse comply with their feedback/customer service requirements.
I'd have thought if you lose powerseller status and then meet those targets again they would reinstate you. At the end of the day it doesn't really matter a toss anyway, since it doesn't seem to have any noticable effect on the final selling prices of items.0 -

.
The way I read the site you need a GMV (gross monthly volume) of £750 and sell four items per month, not per quarter. If it was £750 per three months I would qualify.

From the powerseller criteria..
"There are five levels to aspire to within our PowerSeller Programme. Each requires a seller to meet and maintain either a pre-set level of average gross merchandise volume (GMV) or a pre-set quantity of items sold for the past three months of selling activity."
If my GMV was £750/month I'd be literally s******g myself waiting on a knock on the door from Mr. Income Tax collector
Also, I believe it's a case of £750 OR 100 items sold. Both are not required - at least according to this graphic on the Powerseller homepage:
Perhaps you do qualify for Powerseller status and you've ignored the invitation email thinking it was a scam? (I know I was suspicious when I received mine) You should try signing in: https://signin.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?PowerSellerSignin0 -

No I definitely don't qualify, when I first read the blurb I also assumed it was £750 per quarter and sent them an email. They responded by referring me to the bit about it being £750 gross 'monthly' volume. My sales at the moment (I have slowed down listing as I've been busy) are about 40 per month.
In your example it also says 'GMV' which ebay assured me was 'gross monthly volume' not gross quarterly volume.

Soo
Sounds like ebay don't really know who should be a powerseller and who shouldn't then
If they say on the site that GMV is Gross Merchandise Volume, but in reality are referring to monthly sales then I suppose I can't have much longer left as a powerseller either, because I come nowhere near £750/month (and never have) and I sell maybe 2-3 items per week max.0 -

Or maybe I should be paranoid and accept they don't like me <g>
I don't really mind as I'm only doing a couple of hundred pounds a month and about 40-50 items a month at the moment. I was a bit paranoid though before Christmas as I found a wonderful item and was selling lots and lots (for me that is) and I still wasn't able to be a power seller. That was also high cost (for me) items which made the turnover look brilliant as it ran over £1000 easily for the quarter.
If the £750 is gross merchandising volume per 3 months then I'm still just about exceeding that at the moment, oh well, cest La Vie.
Edit: I;m really trying not to mind, honestly, but I came acrss a seller a few days ago with a feedback rating of less than 100 in total and only 99% positive who sold cheap things and was still a power seller!

I became a bronze power seller yesterday and I was really really happy. I never thought I would become one so it was a nice suprise when eBay emailed me.
I am pretty much proud of myself, on the 19th of May it will be 4 months since I started selling, I currently have 165 (100%) feedback & its increasing fast!0 -
