so getting to the bathroom is fun! (oh the bathroom is downstairs luckily!!)

Could you not install a hose pipe to the loo :p

Don't mean to laugh :o When my mum broke her ankle they had to move the boats portaloo thing next to the bed, and that was tough for her.

Has a doctor/ambulance been round? You should get it looked at.

Thats a point actually - both my parents have had all sorts of things on loan from the NHS at home, my mum for acute things (like a broken leg) and my dad for chronic.

Sorry to hear about the pain again.
Have you had your ankle checked out recently as you have been in severe pain from at least 3 happenings within the last few weeks.Perhaps you have caused further damage to it?
I feel so sorry for you as it sounds agony x

Thanks for all the comments folks (*sniff* you lot are the best!), the thought of the hose pipe made me grin! Re more potential damage to the ankle, even if I have done something else there is begger all they can do until I have shifted a hellacious amount of weight AND am 10 or 20 years older!!!

I've taken two lots of medication and I am trying very hard NOT to take any more (from the point of view of not putting more weight on), Dr Dragon is taking care of me (bless him!) and so I keep fighting on!

I just wish I didn't feel sick every time I move my foot :sad:

Ankle still not happy - but is happier! Weight has gone back up 3 pounds 'cos of medication - and they only one that didn't put weight on made me lose my sight - so a no go on that one!

Right today we have to go to the Council offices, phone ACAS, phone DWP and Dr Dragon has an interview with a temp agency - all good thing!

  • It is a good thing..apart from your ankle.I hope that the pain has subsided a bit for you...I would hope that there are new drugs coming out all the time and that they find something soon that doesn't have all of these rotten side effects for you hun...x
