    Hi Dragon

It *does* sound like a good plan! I think the slow routes are the sure ones. As far as shifting the weight is concerned, I remember what I did when I was coming up to 40 (a long time ago! :) ). I just paid a bit more attention to portion control, and I didn't eat after 9pm, except on nights when I finished work AT 9pm or so. I didn't even exercise any more than I was. And it took a good while, obviously, because thats all I was doing, but the weight came off very surely - I lost about 30lbs. Its crept up slightly since then, but I did go a bit low by the end of that, and I'm happy with what I weigh now (tho in despair about my muscle tone!).

I'd like to join you for the meditation - what time during the day do you think you'll do it? That would be great to have someone else who had it on their list, a meditation buddy....

Hi Karmacat, I am basically following Rosemary Conley (and pretty much vegetarian as well - I would like to be fully veggie again but because of my nut allergy my docs won't let me )

Meditation time - probably about 8 in the morning! for about 15 mins I think - I need to get back into yoga but this is stage one! Obviously I can't do any standing yoga but I can do seated and lying down :D

Seated and lying down is good! 8am is my trading time, but I should do a couple of minutes calming before then. And more at 10am, after trading finishes. I'll be thinking of you tomorrow morning!

And I'll think of you as I race around trying to get out the door for work! :p

My relaxing time is the dog walks - 6 to 7.30. I take them separately as am working on training both the younger ones and the old girl can only do a stroll to the field and back anyway. Love walking at that time - though hate getting up to do it. Just hoping the rain goes before the morning. None of them enjoy the rain (and two refuse point blank to go out in it!) so it throws the routine when it rains.

    Hope the yoga goes well.

Thanks folks! I hope to be up at 8 in the morning but I suspect I could be joining Karmacat at 10 :rotfl:, Yoga may not actually start until the new year (either my New Year which kicks in on 1st November or more likely 1st January :D, give me time to lose some weight and get a little more supple by "playing scrabble" :o:p:o)

Babysteps as the saying is! start off slowly and tortoise your way there!

Um no not really :p , shall we just say on the Lose Weight 22 thread (and all the subsequent ones!) it is a euphemism for "making the beast with two backs" - well I do have to do all my exercise lying down! :rotfl:
