When it says that something has attacked me, I've just kept on clicking until the end of the battle. Can I just put my tail between my legs and run away?

OO - you are now a Dungeon Master like the rest of us and no you don't have to click through the battles but you do not get any extra treasure if you don't!!

Is there a sort of calculation that you can check your odds part way through a battle and abandon it if you are about to be shredded?
