There are a few free defrag utilities about to improve upon the one supplied with Windows, here's another and it is a good one. Quick to tidy the drive, it has a small footprint and provided near identical results to Diskeeper Pro 2007.

Yeah, I tried that recently but found a 'better' free one called IObit SmartDefrag. It seems to do a better job on its 'Comprehensive Defrag' setting, though takes a fair bit longer than the default Express setting, which is very quick. G0

My favourite defragger is still Diskeeper Pro 2007. It runs very light on resources, defrags system files and has an excellent automatic defrag capability. I've never had any stability problems with it either.:cool:0

Just installed and run IObit. God, it takes a while on comprehensive!!!
Good utility, though. And it runs along in the background so it's always keeping things tidy.:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:
Any posts are my opinion and only that. Please read at your own risk.0 -
I'm with JetthroTull, have used Diskeeper2006 and now 2007 and never know that its there. Not free but in my opinion worth the money.
