When the seller on eBay posted my dispatch note my heart sank, he had sent it be Hermes Courier. First delivery from Hermes some time back was delivered by what looked like an illegal in a wreck of a private car. The second the courier dumped it on my doorstep in the evening, not asking or ringing the bell , presumably forged some signature. Their third delivery I found on the doorstep of a house three doors down , owners on holiday. This delivery I can find no trace of, Website says delivered and signature obtained. I can find no trace of this one at all . I can only suppose someone thought it might contain something valuable and pocketed it. Don't know what they are going to do with a pipe thermometer.

If seller has used a different courier than the one they advertised you really should take that up with them.
As for signatures, MyHErmes do not routinely take a sig on delivery- that is an additional cost to the seller so most don't bother.
If your latest item was apparently delivered then speak to both your seller and MyHErmes.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. MyHermes always fake my signature and leave the parcel outside my front door (in a block of flats) or if delivering to another family member in the bin, again faking a signature. For me this has been the case for years!0

My neighbours and I are extremely fortunate in our Hermes delivery lady. Those of us to whom she delivers regularly can rest assured that no parcel will be left on the doorstep, no signature will be faked; if we're not at home she leaves the parcel with a neighbour with a note through the door to let us know which neighbour has our parcel. If no-one is around then she leaves a note and comes back next day.
It's such a pity that rubbish delivery people give the whole service a bad reputation.
It's very much a question of the person delivering the service and I wish Hermes management would take heed of complaints, sack the miscreants and recruit decent people. There must be many out there who would do the job well, just as our lady does.0 -
I like Hermes, always a friendly courier, greets me with a 'Good Morning' and a smile. It's Yodel I hate!0

Well, the Hermes courier has returned and advised me of the problem, he delivered it to the wrong house (their house name has one or two letters similar to ours). The said householders took it and signed although it did not have their name or address or probably any expectancy ( they are a very acquisitive family). Problem is that they have now either gone on holiday or are hiding and the courier cannot get it back, no one will respond to the door bell

I hate Hermes too - I always get my parcels delivered to work as there's always somebody here, but more often than not they just leave them in the corridor of the office block. Luckily we're friendly with all the other companies so it never goes missing.
One time I came in to work especially on a day off just before Christmas to wait for a parcel. Got in at 8, checked the tracking at 11 and it had updated to 'customer not in, redeliver' - I was sitting at my desk the whole time!0
