default showing 2010 B Gas

Hi all
My credit report (Noddle) is showing a default dated 31/5/2010 by British Gas....
i thought all bill outstanding finished after 6 years...do i tell them (BG) that it is no longer enforceable ...how do i remove it ?
appreciate any help

Err - 31/5/2010 is only 5 years. You will have to wait until May next year for it to drop off.0

31/05/2010 plus 6 years = 31/05/2016.0

ok many thanks can i submit to noodle then the credit report info is incorrect and the records need updating.

As you have previously been informed 31/05/2010 plus 6 years = 31/05/2016.
What is incorrect in the credit report that needs updating?
Did you not default on the account?
Is the default date incorrect?
Is the default not marked as satisfied but you have proof you have paid it?
Unless there is a factual error you will not get this default removed until 31st May 2016, so another 10 months and it will disappear whether it has been paid or not.0
