switch to Hsbc from first direct

Good morning

I am setting up a joint account for Me and the wife. I have seen the HSBC offer and want to take it.

However my account is with first direct. Would I be able to take the £100 offer or not as seen as FD are part of HSBC?

    Yes, they're a separate bank.

    Your answer was correct, that the OP can still get the offer, but First Direct are not actually a separate bank. First Direct isn't a listed company and doesn't have a separate banking licence, it's just a trading name of HSBC.

    Looks you might have seen the offer, but did you actually read its T&Cs? As they specifically mention what FD account holders can do.
