Woolworths

Hiya.I know thisnt anything to do with OS but I am so damn well annoyed I need to get it off my chest! (if the mods need to move the post ect please do )Took the kids to woolworths and said they could all pick a toy for about £10 each for a treat (cut a long story short my lovely nan gave me some money so I treated my children with it) well 2 of them picked a toy DS2 wanted a ambulance(sp) which was only £15, well my dd got her toy and put ds2 though the till and it was registering on the till, GGRRRR the girl who is serving me goes off to get the code comes back and see another lady as it still isnt working this other ladys reply was rather uncaring (i know you cant be excited that it isnt working but her tone could have been a bit better....) she just went "oh well if it isnt going though then it isnt, is it?" Well I paid for DDs dora and went out by now ds2 has took a right dicky fit screaming because he cant find his toy in the bag (this doesnt help that ds has a learning delay and couldnt understand why he didnt get his toy) i was that angry i could cry!! or join in with my ds2 who at this point was screaming blue murder, lol In the end i found one in toys r us (after making a round trip to get there) which cost £3 more in that shop, lucky for me he saw a postman pat train he like more that was cheaper but this is besides the point.Stupid shop (and i'm not pulling apart any of the workers here) but why have it on the shelf if it is not registaring on their tills surely they should check often to make sure this kind of thing doesnt happen **sigh**
Grocery Challenge. £400. - £35.22 + £19.80 + £109.01 = £164.03
Other spends (Clothes Luxuries etc)£11.97 + £1.19 + £7.36 + £69.00 + £38.50 + £5.50 + £23.00 +£2.00 = £158.52:shocked::sad:

    Hi queenpig,

    I'm sorry to hear that your little one got upset and surprised that the assistant in the shop wasn't able to over-ride the till.

    I've moved your thread over to the Vent board where you may get more replies.

    I used to work for Woolies, the operator could have put it through as 'uncoded'. Very lazy staff by the sounds of it! Glad you got one in the end though.

    i bought an item in Morrisons a few months ago and that didn't come up with a price when it was scanned. the cashier called over a supervisor and i was told by her that i had to have it for free . It would have only cost a couple of quid anyway but still a result. Hasn't happened since tho.

    I think they're a bit lame, but lots of people here seem to use them.

    Yes, they sound sickly sweet, not at all sincere. What's wrong with saying my son, husband etc?
