connecting CCTV to TV?

Options
I am currently getting ready to have CCTV installed at my propery.
wired but with app on phones to view when I am not at home.
So I am thinking instead of running wires direct to my TV which is a Samsung Smart Tv I am wondering if there is a way to connect by wifi to the TV.leaving the recorder in an upstairs bedroom
I am not to clued up with technology, after playing around with the TV I don't see a way to install any apps on it apart from samsung apps which do not include the camera app.
any advice please on if this might be possible.

  • Does the TV do web browsing? Often it's possible to put the recorder's IP address into the web browser of any computer (or smart TV?) on the local network.

Otherwise if the recorder has analogue video out you could use a video sender.
A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.

Can you cast the picture from your phone to TV? My tv has miracast / wifi direct etc. so I can see what's on my tablet , on my TV . My tv is an LG though.

The TV has screen mirroring, wifi direct also content sharing but nothing connected from iphone/ipad to TV.
the cameras/recorder I am looking at has an app to download onto iphone and ipads from the internet but cant fathom out if its possible to do same on TV
maybe if I buy the camera kit it will be possible to connect the recorder by wifi direct.......hopefully !

just an update incase anyone else has the same query.
I contacted Samsung they advise they do not have an app to support the viewing of cameras, they advise the only way to connect the cameras/recorder is by HDMI cable.

Or if the TV has SCART then you can feed the camera into that, or the DVR may have a pass through output that can be fed to it.
