Messed about by Ebay for a refund - no empathy

I fail to see the issue, you had until the 25th to get it in the post, and returned from holiday on the 23rd giving you 2 days - given it takes a matter of minutes to pop into the post office, or you could have even arranged an online collection from your door - I find it a bit difficult to understand why you could not just have sorted it out then?
Yes I do empathise for your loss, however the world of business does carry on and people can't be expected to wait about for you - I'm sure if this was the other way around and the seller stated they could not refund you for a few days due to a loss you'd be a little bit peeved?
I've been both a eBay seller and buyer on and off over the years, I find the current returns process to be quite fair and reliable. E.g. return case open, buyer sends back, seller refunds, case closed.0
