hi, i am experiencing real financial hardship at the moment because my wages have dropped quite considerably, and have written to all my creditors offering £27.00 per month and all but one (natwest) have refused to A accept any payment(unless it is what they stat they need £57.00) B refuse to halt the interest. i was slow getting on to nat west buried head etc and basically have not paid them sice january of this year. nat west then gave my details over to triton credit services. i explained my situation to them but they would not accept my payment of £27.00 i have been threatened by a rather snooty miss that the baliffs will cme in and i will get a ccj,and now i have a letter from some solicitors askingh for the full sum within 7 days or court proceeding will commence and it will be assumed that i will not settle this matter on amicable and reasonable termms.
help what do i do other than jumping off a bridge?
thanks
Dave

Hi Dave, when we started our DMP Natwest were the only ones who wouldnt accept a lower offer, we were with CCCS, everyone else accepted.

They threatened us with court & we had letters from solicitors pushing us to pay the full amount.

Eventually they did take us to court, but as we had been making monthly payments anyway, in line with our SOA, the court agreed our payments, we do now have a CCJ with them, but then our credit was shot to bits anyway, so it didnt bother me. All charges & interests are no longer applied, so every month our debt is reduced which is great., we're also paying off more when we can, so hopefully this debt will be gone by next year.

I was really surprised with Natwest though as the debt was only £3000

i dont know whats the matter with nat west their attitude stinks i guess the same thing will happen to me just spitefull really. you tell them you are struggling and you may aswell talk to the wall .

i think a lot of these companies have disgusting attiudes to people who are stuggling financially and dont give a stuff to the every day man/woman.
