It divides median house price by the salary figure you enter in the box. Very red means 10x or greater. Quite red means 6-10x. Pinky red is 5-6x.0 -
Looking at my post code it seems to say that you can't afford to buy if median house price is 4x your salary which probably isn't the case. Also using median house price can be misleading as one post code could be predominately flats and terraced house while another could be semis and detached. For me it shows the adjacent post code would be more affordable but in reality if I was to buy same type of property it would cost the same.0
