Credit card declined

Hi I applied for a credit card with Nationwide and it was decline.I checked with experian who they use and the only -ve thing on my report is one late payment which is in the process of being removed.Anyone any idea how it could have been declined.I have other credit card but wanted this one as going on hols to States and want one with no charges.I have aslo tried to appeal the decision but keep getting passed from pillar to post

Get over it and try the Post Office.

Get over the fact that Nationwide have declined you (and won't change their mind) and apply for the Post Office card which does more or less the same as your Nationwide card for overseas purchases.:beer:
