Epson WF2510 printing rubbish

Options
Hi guys,

I'm having problems with my printer since installing windows 10, which I had an invite to install after buying a new laptop a few months ago.

When attempting to print from pdf all the printer prints is a load of gobbledegook. I did manage to get the printer to print files correctly when creating documents via Microsoft word online via my one drive account then sending to my inactive Microsoft office program (I haven't registered for a full license yet)

I can see it being the printer driver itself as like I said it prints fine when using microsoft office. I even tried uninstalling Adobe and any related programs to see if it would print correctly but still printed the rubbish i seem to be getting.

Also as a test earlier I picked a random Notebook text file in my documents and again it printed goobledegook!!!

Anyone had the same problem and manage to resolve it?

  • I've never had much luck with colour printers. We now have a wireless mono printer when CH works superbly and prints from our smartphones too.

Yes we have the Epson WF2510 as I've already mentioned, pretty much had problems with it since day 1, the main reason we bought it was because it was wifi enabled and the original plan was to hook it up and put it in a bedroom ou the way then just use it as and when needed, however when we tried setting the wifi up about 18 month ago it wouldn't even connect when having the laptop and printer in the same room with the wifi router sat on the window.

Seems really strange tho that when I attempt to print from MS word the print quality is brilliant, as soon as I attempt to print a document such as pdf or something on the internet it prints a page that looks like something from the Da Vinci code!!!

Might see if I can hook my mobile upto it and see if the results are the same, or whether the problems lies with Adobe or even a windows 10 glitch (lets face it, there's been plenty of them in the past)
