    Tip - get paint tester pots, but paint them on a bit of cardboard or wood, rather than the wall. They you can move the samples around the room, and between rooms, and see how they look in different places.
  • Thanks SDW - pretty much as I thought - but definitely something I will consider.

    Having pulled down ceilings and removed decades old insulation materials as well as cleaning out a disgusting damp cellar I am well used to having to wear masks, boots, gloves, hazmat suits etc.

    As you say a bit of a faff but sounds like it's worth the effort.
