Newcastle General Hospital ParkingEye charge cancelled!

I recently recieved a Parking Charge Notice from ParkingEye for being on site at Newcastle General Hospital Campus for Ageing and Vitality for 1 hour 12 minutes. I had paid for 1 hour and the notice contained photos of my car entering and leaving the site (which I do not dispute) but that was total on-site time, not time parked. It can take a good while to find a space, get change if necessary, walk to a pay machine and pay as well as drive around this large site and exit. I have sent an appeal to ParkingEye but also phoned the Hospital's Facilities team and spoke to a delightful young lady called Pauline who (after hearing the details summarised abiove) agreed to contact ParkingEye to cancel the notice. Hooray for common sense. :j I just wanted to highlight the value of contacting the land owner direct as they can cancel a notice much easier than an appeal can. Thanks for all the info on MSE.:T

Just remember it ain't over until the fat lady sings. (i.e. you receive confirmation from PE that it is cancelled).

If this doesn't happen before your appeal window expires then fire in an appeal to PE anyway, inserting as the first point ...

x) The landowner and your principle (NGH) have instructed you to cancel this PCN therefore there is no claim for you to make. In addition to this my appeal also covers the points below

Thanks. I did put a written appeal in before I contacted NGH but NGH confirmed they would cancel it and told me I might get a follow-up letter from ParekingEye as they are much quicker at sending demands out than cancellations, but the facilities people ARE instructing ParkingEye to cancel. Don't worry. I won't take my (Parking) eye off the ball! Thanks again.
