Update: when I asked why the change in address they said they moved over 6 months ago.

Are they under no obligation to make tenants aware of their change in premises?

I find that very fustrating. We were in a contractual relationship and they have been harrasing me with emails and phone calls and letters about every little thing. But never occurred to them to let me know they've moved, what if I would've already had sent keys back to the address I was aware of.

    Sorry. Rant over.

But really, it makes no difference to you does it?

What address were you given (as required by law) for serving notices on the landlord? The agent's (old) address? If that is so, and it had not been updated, you could (should) have served notice there and if they did not have arrangements in place to forward their mail they would never have known of your (validly served) notice.

    Their problem though, not yours.

I assume on a day to day basis you've been communicating by email? phone? and this has worked OK? so ne real issue for you.
  • Yeah. Them being typical lettings agents is what I meant. Nothing illegal.

Just felt the need to rant abiut how amongst the numerous emails, phone calls and letters they've been sending to us, they haven't found the chance to mention change in address.
