Advantage Gold Account Problem

Hi
I have had an advantage gold account for years and not really used it NW stopped charging me for it when my wages stopped going in about 3 years ago now. I have just had a text off the bank this morning to say that my bank is overdrawn as they have applied a £15 charge for Advantage gold. If I go in to cancel this can they charge me for the last 3 years?
What can I do should I just pay the £15 then close the account?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

If you decide to close the account, don't just close it. Switch it to a bank that pays you a switching bonus. As part of the switch, the Natwest account gets closed.0

Thanks for the advice but I never use the account. It has had less than £1 for a long time no direct debits set up and no regular money going in so I don't think I will be eligible for a switch deal.0

No reason why you won't qualify for a switch incentive, but you'll need to the T&Cs of any account to which you want to switch;)
You'll have to get the account back in credit first though.0 -
The only reason you couldn't switch the account is that your application for the new account might not get accepted. Everything else can be easily sorted.0
