Keyloggers can be used for your own use in case certain applications go down.

It might help to quantify what sort of keylogger you're looking for. Do you want one which just installs locally and requires you to revisit the machine to retrieve the data, or one which dials home to 'mama' and sends it to a remote machine?

Like everyone says Keyloggers are not advised for Shared PCs and most Anti SpyWare packages will pick them up as SpyWare. If it is more that you want to check what the kids have been visiting then try http://www.k9webprotection.com/, you can turn it into monitor mode and then you can check what sites have been visited, even if they know how to clear the history.

It is free and alot of schools actually use it.

    Thanks
