Morning all,
the 1st of the month and the day all my direct debits (bar the council tax) goes out of my account.
September and its nearly Christmas again. Ive got £50 saved in vouchers which will help. My eldest Grandsons birthday is just before Christmas too.
Just had the ritualistic whine on the phone from hubby about being out of town..... We had a discussion about this the weekend. I told him that if he wants to continue to spend money the way he does, he's just going to have to put up with it.... but it still doesnt stop him moaning to me on the phone though.
Not much else to say really, a day in the house, a day cleaning....but at least with the men at work its peaceful.
Onwards and forwards,
have a great day all. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Hi chums,
Hope you all had a good BH weekend.I've just got DGS down for his nap so got a few mins to myself. The last week or so has been hectic as I celebrated (if that's the right word :rotfl:)my 60th birthday, and we've had 2 long days out and lots of visitors and lunches out too so it's been lovely. The weather was good too.Our 1st trip was on a steam train on the Settle to Carlisle line, which was great.TA We probably saw the same views as you but from the other side of the hills
Whernside etc. There were loads of people taking photos or just waving at the train all the way.Felt like I had a part in the Railway Children
The next trip was a day at Cartmel Races with a minibus of friends, again very lucky with the weather considering what it's been like this summer.Had a meal in a local Italian on my actual birthday-DB & family came too,and DGD (who was really good) so I've been thoroughly spoiled.Got to tighten the belts again now so we can finish off the house renovation! Still we enjoyed the break and DH has hardly had a day off in a year so I reckon we deserved it.
Raining now so I'll be lucky if I get to the park with DGS this afternoonhe likes the sandpit and it'll prob be too wet even if it stops.Feeling chilly in the house too.I might carry on with my thank you cards while DGS still asleep.
Dumpling hope the shopping goes well, pleased you sound good atm.
Apologies if I missed anything important, haven't had time to catch up yet x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Belated birthday greetings ROSYRED. You sound to have had a good couple of days of celebrations"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0
