Do you recognise this kitchen?

Hi,

I'm really hoping someone can help me.

These are some photos of our kitchen, we are removing the integrated oven in favour of a range cooker but need buy a replacement cupboard door(s) to cover the cavity.

The kitchen was installed before we bought the house so we have no idea who supplied it originally or if spare doors would even be available now.

Does anyone have the same kitchen and know anything about it? The drawers components have 'Harn' on them which is an Asian company but that doesn't help much, there are no other identifying names that I can find.

I have tweeted B&Q, Wickes, Magnet and Homebase to see if they can help, only B&Q have replied and said take the photos into the store.

If we can't find a cupboard door to match we'd consider changing all the cupboard doors as they are not particularly to our taste anyway so could anyone recommend a good company to buy from?

Failing that as it might just be too expensive, can anyone think of any good ways of filling the cavity with something that looks ok? I considered an integrated microwave but that would still leave some space and we'd prefer proper cupboard space as we are losing a cupboard to fit in the range.

Thanks in advance,
Sarah

Ignore the rubbish flooring, that's the next job!

Wine rack(s)? - might have to be custom made to match the wood though.

I quite like the doors - I'm sure you could recoup something by selling them!
  • Thanks, we've also thought about a wine rack and think it was be quite easy to custom make one to fit but it would be a lot of wine storage!

I didn't realise replacement doors were quite so expensive but yes I'd have a go at selling these as most are in excellent condition :)

    Hi

Go back a step - why do you want to change to a range cooker and which one do you want?

Seems like a lot of work for not a lot of benefit, and some might even say a backward step!

Could it be this one? The style looks the same but it looks a bit light on the photos.

Similar in style but see how the middle panels only have trim at each side not top or bottom....sorry for my uselessness in describing what I mean!

    Hi,

thanks for your reply. I have ordered the Rangemaster Kitchener 90, it arrives tomorrow.

We have up to 6 people to cook for and only the top part of the oven (gas) actually cooks anything so having two layers of food cooking at the same time is impossible unless you keep switching trays about, big meals and roasts are a juggling act! We intend to stay in this house for the long term so need to sort this out, its driven us mad for the almost 3 years already!

I also do a lot of baking, usually while preparing other meals so having two fan ovens and a separate grill is perfect.

How about open shelving (store cookery books) and wine rack? A decent carpenter would be able to custom make something suitable. I also vote to keep the doors, I really like the style and it will never date.

Thanks, my partner is really good with things like that when he has time to do it. I like the idea of open shelves and hadn't thought of that :)
