Office 2013 activation

Hi all,


I have Office 2013 professional. Its worked OK for years but now, possibly since windows 10, it states that it needs activating,


When I try it fails, tried online and phone.


Laptop not bought new not sure of its origin.


What's the cheapest way to get it activated? Where is a trustworthy source? It says I've only a day left. I have a number of email accounts so don't really want to go to the trouble of installing another product, just want to keep using this.

sorry not a lot of help with office 2013 , some versions (business) require that they are connected to the companies system to reset the timers ,


as a quick "get you out of the $%^&" job , download thunderbird mail client , very quick to set up and quite usable

If Microsoft's system still enables you to speak to a person they are usually helpful re activation issues. Worth a try providing there's nothing dodgy about your licence.

Yes, repair just worked for me. Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features >Microsoft Office 2013, then click Change at the top of the list and choose repair.

Still struggling, but using Thunderbird for now ( very easy ).
Just looking into an office alternative that opens publisher files?

don,t know if this helps , you could go into office/publisher and open/save your files as PDF files , this may help open/print them until you get a fix

How does the phone activation fail ?

At what point ?

You should choose the "home user" option, enter the long number from the screen, tell it that you only have it installed on 1 machine when it asks you, and then enter the equally long number into the boxes when prompted ..
