Well my sig is finally updated with the new amounts since i have taken the flexi loans out. My overdraft is gone, partly from the loan but partly as ive managed to find a couple of hundered extra form ebay and spending pratically nothing this month. I cant believe my wage went in yesterday and the full amount is in my account. I have all my direct debits to go out but when they have gone i wont be overdrawn for the first time in 9 years.

I have also been able to cancel the £14.50 account fee i was paying to barclays. Ive returned their claim forms so hopefully i will have my £110 returned to me very soon.

I have reduced my debt by £1400 this month, cant believe i have done that for january, im really chuffed with that.

Thanks ZTD, if im honest i cant actually believe im managing to stick with this. im normally so faddy about things its a mirical that im managing to be so committed to paying off these debts. I just need to find the same motivation for my diet now!

Managed to have a no spend weekend so am really chuffed with that as normally if im not working i find something to spend money on.

Ive got that monday morning feeling right now, can i start the weekend over again? I think im really ready for a holiday. I think its because iv been having hospital appointments and know the waiting will be starting soon. Time really seems t odrag then.

You're describing me until about 18 months ago. It is definitely the support from on here that's kept me going - hopefully the same will continue to happen for you.

But at some point I do need to find the motivation for dieting. Hoping that will work the same way. Not while still breastfeeding though (I'm good at procrastinating!!)

Well debts and dieting are actually quite similar. You have to approach them in a sustainable manner. Nothing faddy. If it can't last, then it won't last. If you can't think "Can I see myself eating/spending like this in years time?", then you won't and you'll end up back where you started.

Yes, there are "quick fixes", but it has to be a change in lifestyle and attitude.

OH isnt too good with what to say then either, "look on the bright side, if it doesnt work we can go away near christmas!" I dont get sross though, its him trying to be supportive i think.
