Transferring Euro to buy a motorhome

I am looking to buy a motorhome from Holland. My husband will be going out to pick i up, but I'm trying to work out the best way to get money there. It will be approx €10k. I was considering a bacs, but really I'd need it to transfer very quickly such that I only sent it after my husband had seen the vehicle and it arrived before he took it away. To compound this it's likely to be a weekend. I could get Euro over here and he takes it with him but it's a lot, and I'm not sure about safety. Any advice would be most welcome.

"Pick up" and "bacs" - do you have a € account over there?
Can you not pay by a card?

I don't think that an instant transfer from UK to Holland is an option, so unless you can pay by a card, then cash is your only feasible option and IMHO €10K isn't that big amount to worry much about safety.

It's a private sale so payment by card isn't an option. I don't have a Euro account but could pay directly to the seller. PayPal would work but it's expensive - 2.4% charge and I couldn't see what the exchange rate would be. The other problem with cash is getting it delivered - we will be at work.
