We're lucky enough to have a woolly blanket crocheted years ago by Mr LW's mother. It's super-warm, and big enough for two to wrap up in it on the sofa.:DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0

My boss came back at lunchtime with a fleece throw she'd just bought from one of the shops in town - can't remember the name offhand - but it was reduced down to £1. Might be popping into town tomorrow lunchtime then...
Beyond blogging what I am going to do, I've not really made a start on my preparations yet. The intent is there though.
SLM - the curtains in our bedroom cover our radiator. We tuck it behind it when it gets colder so that the heat can radiate back into the room, and none escape behind the curtain.Continually trying the Grocery Challenge. Gotta keep trying!0 -

They need to be shortened. So do mine in my "posh" room - trying to bring myself to do it as I really like them long.
For winter - bought fleeces in sales, fluffy throws and new grate for fire. I don't think we will be having the heating on much the way things are looking.0 -
re the curtains. a bit longer than window ledge level, they need to tuck in behind the radiator or the heat will just go up undernaeth them."The purpose of Life is to spread and create Happiness" :j0

Similar here, my curtains come midway down my radiators. During the winter when I close them I tuck them behind the radiator to stop the heat going out the windows so much. It may not look pretty but its only me and i'd rather be warm. It makes a noticeable difference to me.Boots Card - £17.53, Nectar Points - £15.06 - *Saving for Chrimbo*2015 Savings Fund - £2575.000
