I suppose it's the same as any other knitting pattern. Some people may want a bigger one.
I'm not that experienced a knitter, so maybe somebody else on this thread, can answer your question.
I haven't yet started on this myself.
Sorry, that I can't help any further.Felines are my favourite

Wow - what a lovely thread. Given me lots of ideas to make sure we sail thru winter nice & cosy. Only thing I've done so far is visit my local launderette 'cos they have a big machine & it takes a king size quilt. Did 3 at £4.40 each instead of sending them to the local cleaner to be washed at £14 each!! Dried them outside on the line - mmm lovely smell. I've got a really good crop of pears this year so I've been boning up on recipes & I'll be blanching & freezing some too. Blackberry picking is on the cards over the next week or so - I do love a freebie!
Thanks I'm going to give this a go0 -

It is a choice of sizes , an explanation of what sizes these are should be on the pattern somewhere(usually at the beginning) ....strange really as according to the pic it says one size only ??
I have some lovely wool that would look good as one of these so thanks for the inspiration
Thanks again

fleece won't unravel so you don't need to hem the hole cut in it for a poncho. if you want to sew the material you cut to make the hole on as the pocket a simple hand sewn blanket stitch with 3 strands of embroidery floss would make a decorative bonus or use a strong cotton thread in a matching colour, less noticeable so less decorative but again a simple blanket stitch will hold it and no need for a sewing machine :T
thanks C, i'm incredibly pants at sewing tho and can't do it for long before i get bad wrists (long story), so was aiming for the SM to do the leg work.
*ioiwe's thought* wonder's if can persuade her mother to sew the pocket? hmmmNonny mouse and Proud!!

Not sure I would do this someone did it in the local supermarket last year and the mess was horrendous. Litter absorbs the moisture and then turns to mush when you walk on it, it was like walking through cement. It got everywhere and carried along way into the shop.
The guys were trying to clean it up when I came out but it was going to take ages.

Ditto!
Last winter there was no grit or salt to be found in the shops, so as a last resort i purchased a large bag of cat litter and put it on the paths on our front garden/ and on the pavement. It was a ruddy nightmare to clean it all up after the snow disappeared! This time i am buying salt well in advance!Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200

Sent DH to get a couple of sleeping bags so we could try and keep warmer this winter while in the lounge. (I have bad knees and they play up in the cold
)
When he went to get them from Argos they were reduced to £9.99 each AND the 2 for £22 deal still kicked in so he got a further £4 knocked off, so getting both bags for £16. :T
We're so pleased with them that we're hoping to get another 2 for the lads to keep them warm while watching tv/playing pc etc. Love my pink checked one!
Also took the tip from the person that said her coffee kept getting cold last winter so she uses a thermal travel mug now. Bought two with some of our savings from the sleeping bags so thats more to cross off my prep list.MAY GROCERY CHALLENGE £0/ £250

Lots of great ideas here, thank you.
Pleased that you got your fleeces at Ikea Miche...bet that's not all that you bought though!;) Lots of bargains there at the moment, Breakfast on bogoff ...99p for 2! No, I don't work for them, just go mad when I get in there so have to ration my visits!
The poster who mentioned cheap rugs... I got fireside size ones at Lidl a couple of weeks ago for £8.99 and cheapie smaller ones about £5.99 at Wilkinsons. Obviously not great quality but we've just moved house and they are better than bare boards. The race is on to get snuggly before Christmas:D
Someone mentioned table salt? Don't know if you are aware but you can get big bags of cooking salt...does the same job but cheaper.:)The beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you.
Thanks to everyone who contributes to this wonderful forum. I'm very grateful for the guidance and friendliness that I always receive from you.
