Laptop - Vista vs. XP
Comments
-
I recently ordered some laptops from Dell, via our account manager. They arrived this week. They were all Vista business edition.
Now, personally, I use a Mac at home but I write code for the Windows Server platform.
These were powerful laptops, core 2 duo, 2gb ram, 80gb hard disk, wireless etc... but I honestly can't stand Vista. I feel like something has been taken away from me and that its a cheap copy of Mac OS X. The graphics are very in your face and its just not quite good as the "original" OS 10.
Anyway, i gave the laptops to those in the office who need them. I took Vista right off my new one and installed Windows Server 2003 (more stable version of XP) - its so much faster and I felt right back at home.0 -
