Older dd and sil came down around six last night as the removal from Oxford had been completed a couple of hours earlier.
WE were panicking because we could not find their cat but they eventually found it hiding inside the mechanism of a reclining chair
I made a tray of lasagne and took it to their new house and we all toasted the house with Prosecco so it felt like home.
DD and sil just popped in on their way to see another dd so made a quick breakfast for them. Middle dd is going too and helping when they go a certain furniture etc store later.
Making chicken thighs, green veg and mash for lunch and beef and mushroom pie for tonight. DD's clothes are in the wash so hoping for a couple of hours without rain so it can go outside.

I am glad DH feels a bit better.

Evening all,
we had plans for today but they were rained off. Hubby needed a few bits for work tomorrow and we popped in to see the Outlaws. Nice to see the BIL sober for once and i didnt get reminded once by SIL about failing my driving test. Maybe after 13 years she's decided its history now and will stay that way.

Evening all,
Nice enoughday earlier, but has now started to rain and has got very dark.
Many thanks for good wishes for DS on his charity cycle......he arrived here about 4....just in time for dinner, he is now cuddled up on the couch with Mossy, complaining of pains in his thighs and shoulders and when he walks he looks like a very old, arthritic man! Maybe 630 k in 3 days is too much for a 41 year old who thinks that he is14 and doesnt need to train for events like this! Very proud of him really, just waiting to hear how much they raised for the " Make a Wish Foundation" which helps make dreams come true for children with terminal illnesses.
We had roast lamb for dinner, slow cooked shoulder a la Nigella, the shoulder as cut here seems much smaller than photos I have seen on tv in UK, just fed the 3 of us but was lovely with turnip, carrot, the last few mushrooms that needed using up, onion gravy and steamed floury potatoes....mmmmmmm.
Tru....you are certainly reaping the benefits of all the work you are putting in with Scampi, good for you on persistence.
DD4 and OH called on way from hospital where she had been for here six week check up, everything is fine so thats one hurdle crossed, they were in a hurry as DGS2 was home from school, girls are doing really well and are now almost 7 lbs weight. Was pleased to have fish that DS3 had brought earlier as he was fishing in Kerry at the
weekend.
DS2 has now left for ferry to Holyhead, he plans on staying in an hotel somewhere on the way to Milton Keynes, where he is working tomorrow.
TA......glad to hear that your OH is feeling better and that his appetite has improved. The walk will have done you both good, being able to see such a wide vista is wonderful.
Csarina....sorry that OH is being a pain about his new dentures....put him on the couch, there is no excuse for disturbing you!
Hester....another example of the mean, unfair lot you work for?
As we have eaten for the day now, will settle down to some crochet, have a good evening everybody.
