Switching service question

I have 2 coop cashminder accounts, the first was opened nearly 7 years ago and is in my name, the other less than 3 years ago and is joint with my partner. I would like to switch to Halifax and get the £100 for switching. Ideally I would like to close the joint account as it is the newer of the 2 but want to open an account at Halifax in my name only, is this possible? thanks

Thanks for the quick reply. Would I be able to get my partner took off first or am I worrying about the account age for nothing? I have just had a bankruptcy drop off at the start of the year and am trying to build my credit rating up. I have had the same mobile contract for about 6 years and recently got a credit card that will always be paid in full
