Won a holiday-company now gone bust

Are you sure the holiday company haven't already paid? Have you any documentation from airlines / hotels, or indeed the holiday company?


Is it worth contacting the airline and/or hotel to double check?


Doubt it'll get you anywhere, but you effectively won and they didn't provide the prize, so it may be worth trying the IPM (Inst of Promotional Marketing) or ASA (Advertising Standards Authority). Not like they can provide it though, so may not have a leg to stand on

It was the hotel that advised me in the first place so I know they haven't been paid. Things are a bit more positive though as the magazine that advertised the competition called me today & they are trying to find someone else to provide the holiday in return for good publicity. It might not result in anything but it's really good of them to step in & try.

Oh fantastic! Hadn't realised it was through a mag! Yep, hopefully they'll manage to replace it
