Buying Disney Tickets - Read this if you're going to Florida

Hi,
We've just got back from Florida - had a fantastic time, enjoyed every minute of it. Saw a Space Shuttle launch, which was definately the highlight of my holiday!
However....
We purchased our Disney tickets in the UK from an online agency before we set off, as like most people going to Florida for the first time we didn't know whether they would be easy to buy over there.
IF YOU'RE THINKING OF BUYING BEFORE YOU GO, DON'T!!!
The prices we were charged in pounds were exactly the same as the prices charged on the door of the parks in dollars! At the current exchange rate of two dollars to the pound that means we paid double the cost of buying them over there.
We paid £219.00 for the 7-day adult Disney pass, and £189.00 for the child. The same ticket can be bought very easily on the door of the first Disney park you visit (Magic Kingdom in our case) for $219.00 for adult and $189.00 for a child. (i.e. £110.00 and £95.00 resepctively).
All the Disney Parks sell the passes on the door and it is much, much cheaper to buy them over there.
Don't buy them here, you'll save yourself a lot of money.

It is much cheaper to buy them here...We paid £168 for a 21 day Ultimate pass which included hopping to any park, all the water parks and Disney Quest. There is also a 14 day version...these are not available in the US0

Thanks

Dizzy - Ive just come back from Orlando, and we bought in the UK.....the adult was £153 fo a 14 day Ultimate.
Also, the US prices you quote above are the Magic Your Way tickets, that dont include the water parks (thats extra), dont include the hopper (thats extra), and only go up to 10 days.
We booked thru Virgin, using the Flying Club additional 10% discount, and they had the 14 day for the price of a 7 day when we booked.illegitimi non carborundum0 -
