Pcn overstaying with blue badge

Hi, firstly my apologies after readying the newbies thread, I'm still confused and need some advise!
6/8/15 I parked in an Everything parking car park.
I didn't realise it was 2 hours only (my husband usually parks there, and his vehicle is registered as a blue badge with the office but mine isn't).
I parked up and presumed it would be 3 hours, so I displayed my clock and badge.
I took my 2 young children for lunch and to the park attached, then returned within the 3 hours.
As I left my car had a faulty light flash up, so i pulled over and did some checks and sorted it all out. By the time I left it was 3 hours 18 mins.
A PCN was sent on 16/8.
What can I do?
I feel it's unfair that there was a 2 hour limit.
I stupidly should have read the sign, but I don't feel it was as clear as it should be.
I've been googling and read conflicting advise:
Ignore
Don't ignore
Call them
Don't call them
They're discriminating not allowing for extra time for someone who has a disability etc
Is there a way round this?
Thanks

so this ticket was issued under ANPR rules
ANPR cannot see or read a Blue badge.
you need to inform the Co that the DRIVER and/or the passenger are legally allowed a blue badge and as such they are allowed extra time to park because of the disabilities
this I believe comes under the equality act , but others will elaborate on this
do not contact them until you get more info from others
look at this quick search , and see if you can pull any good info out http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/search.php?searchid=1635203320 -
Thanks
This is where it gets slightly complicated.
You can register with them to get an extra hour if you have a blue badge, but I wasn't aware of this0 -
who is the PPC ? (or is it this EVERYTHING ?)
who is the landowner ?
is this in england or wales ? or elsewhere ?0 -

that is in addition to your rights under the equality act , not instead of0 -
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

Thanks
It is in England. The landowner is Brockwell Lido.
The Ppc is ETparking.com (Everything parking).0 -
the newbies template should be sent to the parking company
any blue badge type of appeal or complaint should be aimed at the landowner (with proof) and asking for a cancellation, under the EA2010
POPLA wont consider the BB as they dont accept it, nor mitigation, plus we dont know what the Ombudsman Services will accept but for now assume its the same as popla do
therefore , any subsequent POPLA appeal would be on the usual grounds of poor signage, no landowner contract , not a gpeol etc
do not admit who was driving, but add a note to ET Parking and also the landowner stating that an occupant of the vehicle had a BB on show and the BPA guidelines expect them to not ticket a car showing a BB0 -

how can this possibly work with an ANPR system?
that statement from the BPA is a load of cobblers if its that misleading , and they know that POPLa will not accept the blue badge stance0 -
I'll
Give it my best shot. Thanks0
