Advice needed on shed bases

I'm thinking of putting up a shed at the end of a downwards-sloping tarmac driveway (flat at the end where the shed would be). The problem is that when it rains a lot of water comes down the driveway from the road and the shed would be partly in the run-off path.
I'm not sure whether to go for:
- a plastic one (avoids any waterlogged rotting problems),
- a wooden one direct on the tarmac (water would divert around it),
- a wooden one but put batons on it to raise it an inch or two off the ground (water would go under it, but also all the leaves and rubbish which would get trapped under the shed).
Does anyone have any experience or advice to share?

What about slabs or blocks instead of batons?0

I'd considered blocks but it would raise it too high (have to keep below an overhanging tree). I hadn't considered paving slabs though, those might work. I could always put chicken wire around the base to keep the leaves from piling up underneath, so that might be the way to go. Thanks!0

The plastic bases don't have to be butted up to each other so could still allow water to run away and are long lasting, fairly cheap and really easy to lay!0
